Emma & Máté bunny

These two bunnies were made for a friend's little ones. This was my first try to make a dress this style but I think it came out quite well! :)
How to sew in the sleeves?! Headscratch...

Máté bunny, finally finished!

The happy finished pair! :)

Pertzels

These pertzels are just simply delicious with a mug of milk (or with a pint for grown-ups!). They are really easy to make and even your little one can help making them.

You will need:
1 kg flour
1 tbsp salt
500 ml milk
1 sachet yeast
120 gr lard

Mix the yeast with a little milk and when frothy stir into the other ingredients. Knead until you get a stiff, elastic dough.

Without leaving to rest roll long sausage shapes from the dough with the flat of your palm. The longer the better!

Shape them into pertzels (or circles or anything else you want to) and put them on a greased (with lard!) baking sheet.

Mix together 1 tbsp flour, 1 tbsp salt and some water until you get a thin paste.

Drizzle this over the pertzels. Put them in a pre-heated hot (220 C) oven and bake for about 15 mins.
Enjoy!

Red Bunny

The Red Bunny was made from lovely flower patterned fabric for a friend. Now she is happy near the ocean!

A new treasure

When I saw this patchwork picture on a friend's blog I fell in love with it. It's especially dear as blackthorn is one of the most plentyful tree in our area.
When I sold my first bunny I bought it from its price! :)

Mini meat loaves

I love this simple and quick meal and so do my two little girls! I found the recipe in my favourite cooking magazine, EasyFood.

Mix together 3-4 grated carrots, a grated courgette, 500 gr minced meat, a finely chopped red onion, a generous handful of frozen peas, 2-3 tbsp of ketchup, a beaten egg, and about half a cup of breadcrumbs (if the mixture is too sloppy you can add more). Diveide them between muffin cases and cook in a pre-heated oven on 220 C for 30-40 mins.

We eat it with sweet potato-potato mash, broccoli and a quick green salad dressed with olive oil. Perfect for a cold windy day like this!

Joanne

Joanne the Blue Angel loves horses. She is looking for someone who could give her a loving home and plenty of time to chat about her favourite animals! :)

Dressed in a lovely blue dress with lace and ribbon trim, decorated with a stylish wooden button.

A romantic touch, Joanne wears a blue bracelet.

Savoury swirls

A rainy day... What shall we do? 'Let's bake!' said my little girl. And so we did.
This is one of my favourite recipes, very simple, quick and yummy!

Savoury swirls
For the dough:
750g flour
2 tsp salt
1 sachet yeast
500 ml milk
100 ml oil

Mix the yeast with a little milk and mix with the rest of the ingredients when frothy. Knead the dough and no need to rise, roll it out 1cm thick straight away!

For the filling:
200 gr margarin
2 egg yolks
2 tsp salt
egg whites for brushing
seeds for sprnkling

Beat the margarin with the salt and egg yolks and spread it on the dough. Roll it up like a swiss roll and cut into finger thick rolls. Lay the swirls on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment. Brush witht the beaten egg whites and sprinkle whith the seeds. Put into pre-heated oven (200 C) and bake for about 30 mins. Enjoy!

We love it with a mug of milk!
